Over the course of five months, students collaborated closely with downstream acrylic fabricators, overcoming challenges in materials and fabrication. This year, the 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest has entered the phase of prototyping. We, once again, have invested resources to ensure that the finalists can successfully complete their works and showcase their full potential. In addition to providing high-quality acrylic materials, we have also arranged for experienced acrylic fabricators to guide students step-by-step through key processes such as cutting, polishing, thermo-bending, and bonding. This hands-on training helps every finalist become familiar with acrylic fabrication and independently produce high-quality works. Through this experience, we aim to deepen their understanding of acrylic material and enhance their craftsmanship, laying a solid foundation for their future design careers. This competition is not just a design contest— it is also a concrete expression of our commitment to corporate social responsibility. On March 7th, we gathered at GOOZHAN Restaurant to have a special lunch time to celebrate International Women's Day together! The 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest- Prototyping Instruction Seminars

The 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest held 3 prototyping instruction seminars from 13, 14 and 15 January respectively in Northern, Central, and Southern regions of Taiwan to provide guidance for shortlisted students. In this event, we invited professional product designers and acrylic fabrication experts to offer suggestions on each shortlisted work from both design and manufacturing perspectives. At the same time, arrangements were made to visit the acrylic fabrication line. This aims to help students gain a deeper understanding of acrylic materials and fabrication techniques, enhancing the completeness and maturity of the works to achieve the best possible performance in the final selection.

2024 KMC Year-end Party - Uniting Team Strength to Embrace New Year Challenges

To express gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all employees over the past year, KMC hosted its annual year-end banquet on January 8 at the Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel. Together, we bid farewell to the Year of the Dragon and welcomed the Year of the Snake. During the event, KMC also took this opportunity to present awards for the 2024 annual outstanding & the contributions of long-serving employees. The program featured live band performances, vibrant singing and dancing, and employee karaoke, bringing the energy in the room to its peak. The highlight of the evening was the lucky draw, capturing everyone’s attention and filling the room with cheers and excitement. This segment not only brought colleagues closer but also demonstrated the team’s strong sense of unity. The year-end banquet concluded successfully in a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, leaving behind many cherished memories. The 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest- Preliminary Selection

A total of 682 students registered for the 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest, submitting 587 entries. The preliminary selection was held on December 28, 2024, at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, where a panel of judges - including 5 professional designers and 4 acrylic industry representatives - evaluated the submissions. During the 1st round, the judges scored all entries and selected the top 130 works based on total scores for further in-depth discussions and evaluations in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. These rigorous evaluations ensured that the selected works aligned with the contest’s direction and theme. After 3 rounds of thorough selection, the panel ultimately chose 51 finalist works that demonstrated creativity, potential, and practical value. Additionally, 7 special awards from industry sponsors were granted, bringing the total number of finalists to 58. The selected entries highlight innovation and application potential in acrylic design. The judges encouraged students to transform their concepts into tangible works, focusing on every details of prototyping to perfect their works and to strive for excellence in the final round. 2024 Taipei Building Show- TEAM TAIWAN ACRYLICS，Infinite Possibilities

From December 12 to 15, we partnered with Taiwanese acrylic sheet manufacturers and downstream value chain customers to participate in the 2024 Taipei Building Show. This year’s exhibition centered on the theme “Only One Earth - Sustainable Acrylics, Infinite Possibilities,” showcasing the environmental sustainability of acrylics and their unique value as a “Healthy, Safe, and Reliable” green building material to architects and visitors. At the exhibition, a stunning, large acrylic globe rotated slowly, accompanied by dynamic LED lighting effects and music, delivering an important message about the need to protect our planet. Additionally, an artistic installation of a “Black-Faced Spoonbill” created from acrylic tubes and professional color spray emphasized the sustainability of acrylics, aligning with the global focus on environmental protection. The exhibition also featured an interactive acrylic piano keyboard on the wall, utilizing the unique properties of Agama black-and-white acrylic sheet. This installation responded dynamically to light and music, adding vibrancy and fun to architectural and living spaces. The exhibition showcased a wide variety of acrylic building materials, fabricated products, and technical applications. The team made the most of every interaction with visitors to actively promote high-quality Taiwanese acrylic products and explore the diverse potential of acrylic applications in future projects. “TEAM TAIWAN ACRYLICS” demonstrated professionalism and trust through collaboration, enhancing the recognition and credibility of acrylic products and instilling greater confidence in architects, designers, and end-users. This event was a great success, thanks to the joint efforts of all partners. The exhibition attracted continuous crowds and received widespread acclaim. Retirement Farewell Party

On the last day of May, a retirement farewell party was held for two senior quality-inspection employees who retired in June. Our heartfelt gratitude went to these esteemed colleagues for their dedicated efforts, professional attitude, and spirit of teamwork that had ensured the high level of the company product and made customers full of trust and dependence on us. Over the years, our every growth and breakthrough had been inseparable from their hard work and dedication.
