The 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest- Preliminary Selection 10 Jan / 2025

A total of 682 students registered for the 24th Acrylic Creative Design Contest, submitting 587 entries. The preliminary selection was held on December 28, 2024, at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, where a panel of judges - including 5 professional designers and 4 acrylic industry representatives - evaluated the submissions. During the 1st round, the judges scored all entries and selected the top 130 works based on total scores for further in-depth discussions and evaluations in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. These rigorous evaluations ensured that the selected works aligned with the contest’s direction and theme. After 3 rounds of thorough selection, the panel ultimately chose 51 finalist works that demonstrated creativity, potential, and practical value. Additionally, 7 special awards from industry sponsors were granted, bringing the total number of finalists to 58.

The selected entries highlight innovation and application potential in acrylic design. The judges encouraged students to transform their concepts into tangible works, focusing on every details of prototyping to perfect their works and to strive for excellence in the final round.
