Retirement Farewell Party

On the last day of May, a retirement farewell party was held for two senior quality-inspection employees who retired in June. Our heartfelt gratitude went to these esteemed colleagues for their dedicated efforts, professional attitude, and spirit of teamwork that had ensured the high level of the company product and made customers full of trust and dependence on us. Over the years, our every growth and breakthrough had been inseparable from their hard work and dedication. In addition to awarding commemorative plaques/coins as a token of our deep appreciation, we also arranged an afternoon tea party where everyone was gathered to share memories and blessings together. Amidst laughter and joy, we wished them health and happiness in their future retirement life.

The 23rd Acrylic Creative Design Contest - Finalist Works Presentation and Award Ceremony

On June 8, the Finalist Works Presentation and Award Ceremony of 23rd Acrylic Creative Design Contest was held by KMC at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. This event is an annual grand gathering for the Taiwan acrylic industry. Nearly 250 guests, including acrylic fabricators, designers, teachers, and students from the northern, central, and southern regions, attended the event. The activities included presentations and demonstrations of the finalists’ works, insightful commentaries on the winning works by the judges, and keynote speeches by Ms. Chen, Manager of Qisda Corporation, and Ms. Chang, Director of GIN.SPACE Design. Ms. Chen delivered a talk on "AI Opening a New Era of Design, sharing insights on the application of AI in design and how it provides designers with more tools, resources, and creative inspiration. Ms. Chang’s presentation, titled "Harmonious yet Contrasting Aesthetics in Space Design and Acrylic Applications in Commercial Spaces", emphasized creating balanced and captivating designs in commercial spaces and highlighted the key role and value of acrylics in these designs. The ceremony was lively, and we were proud to witness this glorious moment together with our downstream customers/partners. KMC awarded prizes to outstanding design students, recognizing their exceptional performance in creative design and expressing our high expectations for future innovative designs.

The 23rd Acrylic Creative Design Contest - The Final

The final round of the 23rd Acrylic Creative Design Contest took place on June 1st. This year, a total of 48 shortlisted works were prototyped and presented. Over a span of five months, these finalists engaged in numerous discussions and communications with downstream acrylic fabricators from the northern, central, and southern regions. While maintaining originality, they continually adjusted their designs based on the characteristics of acrylics and its fabrication, aiming for a more practical and perfect presentation of their works. Throughout this process, the students not only learned to manage production time effectively but also honed their resilience and execution skills. Each participant seized the opportunity to present their designs to the judges, highlighting the features and advantages of their work in hopes of achieving the best results. This experience was not only a platform to showcase their talents but also a valuable opportunity to learn about acrylic materials and enhance their design capabilities. Social Responsibility and Care - Our Commitment and Practices

KMC has always been dedicated to fulfilling corporate social responsibility and actively focusing on education and social development. With supports of Kaohsiung Ministry of Education and the Ren-Da Industrial Park Company Association, we have partnered with 15 petrochemical companies to establish the "International Petrochemical Industry Specialized Program" in Renwu Senior High School . Since its inception, this program has achieved outstanding results in education and employment, opening up more future possibilities for students. This May, we signed the fourth phase of a three-year cooperation agreement with Renwu Senior High School, marking our long-term commitment to educational development and social responsibility. We believe that through this model of industry-academia collaboration, we not only can provide students with practical skill trainings but also effectively enhance their employability, thereby bringing more positive impacts to the society. Our company firmly believes that the success of a business is not only reflected in economic benefits but also in its contributions to society. In our past collaborations with and by organizing the Acrylic Design Contest for students from domestic and overseas colleges and universities, we have witnessed the growth and progress of many students. They have not only mastered professional knowledge during their studies but also gained valuable practical experience. These achievements are the source of our continuous efforts and have strengthened our confidence to move forward. Looking to the future, we will continue to leverage the influence of our company to promote more projects beneficial to the society. We hope that through continuous efforts and investments, we can provide better learning conditions and development opportunities for more students, enabling them to become the backbone of the society and driving the progress and prosperity of the entire society. Employee Retirement Farewell Party

At the end of March, KMC held a heartwarming retirement farewell party for our senior employees, offering them the sincerest wishes and gratitude. These senior employees have all witnessed KMC's growth and development since the establishment. KMC organized this event to allow colleagues to gather, reminisce, and share fond memories together. During the farewell party, each retiring employee was specially presented a commemorative medal coin as a symbol of deep appreciation and eternal blessings. Retirement marks a new beginning, a whole new stage of life. We sincerely wish every retired colleague a joyful and happy life.

A celebration gathering on International Women's Day

On International Women's Day, a day dedicated to every goddess, KMC held a celebration gathering exclusively for the female employees. Each goddess chatted, laughed and enjoyed the delicious food under a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. We also presented them a bouquet of beautiful and fragrant roses, wishing them to continue shining their light and have a wonderful life.

The 23rd Acrylic Creative Design Contest - Prototyping Instructions Seminar

3 prototyping instruction seminars and one visit to acrylic fabrication site were held in the Northern, Central, and Southern regions of Taiwan on 15-17th Jan for the shortlisted students. The professional product designers and acrylic manufacturers were also invited to the seminars to provide suggestions on both their design and fabrication aspects of each shortlisted work. The aim was to assist students in gaining a deeper understanding of acrylic materials and processing methods for their subsequent prototyping, thereby enhancing the quality and maturity of their competition entries in pursuit of the best results in the final selection

2023 Year-end Party

On January 12, 2024, a year-end & new-year celebration banquet was held at Intercontinental Kaohsiung to thank employees for their hard work throughout the year. The event featured a sumptuous feast, an outstanding performance by a live band, and eagerly anticipated lucky draws for employees. We also took this opportunity to present awards for 2023 Annual Outstanding Staff and commemorative coins to senior staff. With the energetic guidance of the host, the atmosphere of the entire evening was lively, filled with singing and laughter. It was a good occasion for all colleagues to gather, enjoy a delightful meal, and savor the good times.

The 23rd Acrylic Design Contest - Preliminary Selection

The 23rd Acrylic Design Contest received a total of 792 registrations, with 683 entries submitted and 629 design drawings ultimately submitted. The preliminary selection was held at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology on 23 December 2023. Judgements were evaluated by 5 professional designers and 4 representatives from acrylic manufacturers. After 3 rounds of scoring and discussions, a total of 62 works were shortlisted, with 55 entries works selected, plus 7 ones for the special award from the manufacturers. 2023 Taipei Building Show

In the Taipei Building Show held from December 7th to 10th 2023, we gathered over 19 local acrylic industry customers and related value-chain partners to showcase Taiwan's healthy and high-quality acrylic products to architects, designers, and visitors. The theme of the exhibition was represented by a classic magic cube made of acrylic blocks, showcasing the versatile characteristics of acrylic, whilst the overall venue layout conveyed the following two main aspects of high-quality acrylic in architectural applications: I. Green circularity, environmentally friendly, building the future with acrylic II. Diverse colors: limitless creativity, starting with acrylic The event concluded successfully with the highest number of visitors in recent years. The layout received positive feedback, attracted great interests, and even caught the attention of news channels for coverage. The exhibits included acrylic handrails (parapets), sunshades, aquarium panels, bathroom sliding doors, coffee tables, log conference tables, colored blocks, and artistic embedded panels, etc. QR codes were also provided at the venue to connect visitors to Shopping.Acrylicap.Com, where they could further explore knowledge and applications of acrylic in the construction industry.
